Nia Vardalos* Greek authorities are lifting a ban on filming at the Acropolis for Nia Vardalos in the hope the exposure will boost the country's image. “My Life In Ruins,” which is being produced by Tom Hanks, will become the first movie ever to be allowed to feature the Athens classical landmark. Shooting on the movie, in which Vardalos plays an archaeologist tour guide, is expected to start next month.
